Impact on WRS Licensing due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) – 26th March 2020

Update for taxi and private hire licence holders across Worcestershire
In light of the latest Government guidance aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), we have been forced into making the difficult decision of suspending licensing surgeries as front line Customer Services and Council Buildings have now been closed to all visitors until further notice.
We are working hard to put in place alternative arrangements to allow the licensing office to receive applications electronically and will contact you again by email when these arrangements are in place.
We anticipate that you may have a number of other questions or quires during this difficult time, which is why we are currently working on further taxi guidance for licence holders.  In the meantime may we politely ask that you do not contact our offices, unless it is a matter or extreme urgency as our staff cannot provide any further information at this time.
For the most up to date information on the coronavirus pandemic and what individuals and businesses should be doing to prevent the spread of the disease, please visit the Government’s website: This website also contains details of the financial packages the Government is providing to support businesses through these unprecedented and challenging times.
We will aim to email again as soon as possible, in an effort to keep you updated with licensing developments.
