Temporary Taxi Rank Arrangements due to Trinity St Closure, Worcester

Phase 2 of the City Centre improvement works is due to start on Monday 11th April 2022, and as a result there is going to be restricted access to some of the city’s Taxi Ranks.

The following taxi ranks will be affected by the improvement works:

  • St Swithins Street taxi rank will be unavailable between 06:00hrs – 18:00hrs, 7 days a week for approximately 5 weeks
  • The Cross taxi rank will be unavailable between 10:00hrs – 18:00hrs, 7 days a week for approximately 5 weeks

There will be no motor vehicle access to St Swithin's Street from Trinity Street between 10:00hrs – 18:00hrs, 7 days a week for approximately 5 weeks.

Will any vehicles be able to access St Swithin's Street?

Trinity Street, from the junction of Queens Street will be closed to motor vehicles between the hours 10:00hrs – 18:00hrs 7 days a week, for approximately 5 weeks.

How long will the ranks be affected by the works?

These street works will be taking place over a 5 week period, starting on Monday 11th April 2022.

What alternative arrangements have been made for Taxi’s?

Alternative arrangements have been made for  a Temporary Taxi Rank located on Trinity Street, between 10.00hrs and 18:00hrs.

During the above period the traffic flow on Trinity Street is being reversed, so access to the Temporary Trinity Street Taxi rank will now be via Queens Street.  In light of the above there will be “strictly” no vehicle access to Trinity Street from St Nicholas Street between 10:00hrs and 18:00hrs Monday to Sunday.
