Food Safety Training

The law requires that Food Business Operators (FBO), managers and staff have training appropriate to the activities they carry out, eg. the owner of a business will need to know how to manage a food safety management system, a retail sales employee will need to be able to make basic safety checks, eg. use by dates, cleaning, pests.

Level 2 is recommended and Level 3 for managers

There are numerous courses available online but quality may vary. Look for courses accredited by Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) or similar organisations.
