Health & Wellbeing

Worcestershire Regulatory Services works with our partners to make Worcestershire a healthy, safe and fair place to live, work and do business. This is in support of Worcestershire’s first Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy which is a plan for Worcestershire residents to be healthier, live longer and have a better quality of life, especially those communities and groups whose health is currently poorest. Health and well-being is influenced by a range of factors over the course of people’s lives. The Strategy places a greater emphasis on prevention, early intervention and early help to avoid future ill health, disability and social problems. Health and Wellbeing in Worcestershire has been improving and is better than the national average.

The four main topics are :

•         Older people and management of long term conditions.

•         Mental health and wellbeing.

•         People who are very overweight

•         Alcohol

Worcestershire Regulatory Services is well placed to support all four priority areas with a wide range of innovative approaches to nutrition and healthy eating as well as health, work and wellbeing related business support initiatives featured below:
