New Applications & Variations to Premises Alcohol Licences

All new applications and variations to existing Premises and Club Licences are subject to a 28 day consultation period. During this time, the following statutory bodies are consulted;

  • Police
  • Fire Safety Department
  • Development Control (Planning Services)
  • Safeguarding Safety (Child Protection)
  • Community Protection (Noise Nuisance)
  • Business Compliance (Heath and Safety)
  • Primary Care Trust

Representations either in favour or objecting to a licence application must clearly relate to one or more of the four licensing objectives. These are;

  • the prevention of crime & disorder
  • public safety
  • the protection of children from harm
  • prevention of public nuisance

We are applying for three variations to the license 1) Extension of hours, existing hours are 17.30 - 23.00 this will remain asthe core hours however the option of opening at 12.00 will be used for special occasions 2) Request to sell alcohol both onand off the premises, if this application is successful it is intended to start a delivery service (currently take away sales are bycollection only) so customers can order wine of beer with the take away 3) To sell alcohol outside, this will be for take awaycustomers, collecting, who might like to have a drink outside while waiting.
